Marlins Start Slow but Finish Strong
Hey Marlins fans! What a game we had against the Twins tonight! It wasn't the most exciting start, with Xavier Edwards, Connor Norby, and Jake Burger getting retired in the first inning. But things quickly picked up in the second inning!Explosive 2nd Inning
The momentum shifted when Jonah Bride blasted a solo home run to left, getting us on the board with a 1-0 lead. That was just the beginning. Derek Hill got hit by a pitch, and then Otto Lopez and Nick Fortes contributed with clutch hits that scored Hill and brought our lead to 2-0. The crowning moment of the inning came when Xavier Edwards doubled to left, bringing in two more runs. By the end of the inning, it was 4-0 Marlins!Pitching Shuts Down the Twins
Our pitching was lights out! After giving up just one run in the third inning, the bullpen locked things down. Derek Hill and Nick Fortes combined for a beautiful double play to quiet the Twins' threat in the bottom of the third.Cruising to Victory
From then on, it was a combination of solid defense and timely pitches. The Twins couldn’t muster up any more offense, thanks to great work from our relievers. Jeffrey Bender, Austin Bachar, and Jesús Tinoco kept the pressure on, culminating in a dominant performance by the Marlins. The 9th inning was a nail-biter, but we managed to hold on with a final inning of superb pitching. The Twins didn’t stand a chance with our team playing this sharply! What a win! Can't wait to see how we carry this momentum forward.
