Tough Start for the Mets
Hey Mets fans, it was a tough game for the Amazins, as the Marlins took home the victory with an 11-8 score. It was a rough start for us at the top of the 1st inning. The Marlins came out swinging, with a 5-run blitz that left our pitcher struggling to find his footing. Heriberto Hernández doubled to center, kicking off a Marlins rally that culminated in a 5-run lead before we even had a chance to bat.The Mets Battle Back
Our boys fought back with heart, starting with a solo homer from Francisco Lindor to right! We trailed 5-1 after the first, but our determination didn’t waver. The highlight of the offense was Juan Soto, who had a brilliant solo homer and another two-run shot, bringing us roaring back to an 8-8 tie in the 6th inning. Mark Vientos also contributed with a blazing three-run homer in the 3rd inning, showcasing the depth of our batting lineup.

The Marlins Pull Away
Despite our best efforts, the Marlins managed to pull away in the final innings. Though we managed to tie up the game, a sacrifice fly by Connor Norby and a couple of quick scores in the top of the 9th sealed our fate. Our bullpen couldn't quite hold them in check, as Norby’s double brought in the final two runs, putting us just out of reach despite some late-game chances.Overall, it was a game where the Mets showed their fighting spirit, but sometimes the ball just doesn't bounce your way. Let's hope for a win in the next one! Let's go Mets!
