A Strong Start for the Marlins
What a game, fellow Marlins fans!
Our Miami Marlins came charging out of the gates in the first inning, setting the tone with a commanding 5-0 lead against the New York Mets. Xavier Edwards and Otto Lopez got things rolling with singles before Heriberto Hernández and Eric Wagaman delivered twin doubles that brought in three rapid runs. Joey Wiemer capped off the inning with a two-run double, giving us a comfortable early cushion. 
The Mets Battle Back
The Mets wouldn't take it lying down, though. Despite our defense efforts, big swings from Francisco Lindor and Juan Soto narrowed our lead. Soto's homer in the fourth and sixth innings drew the game to an 8-8 tie by the bottom of the 6th inning, making it a nail-biter. However, our infielders held strong, preventing further damage.
Sealing the Victory
Our boys came through when it mattered most! In the seventh inning, Agustin Ramirez kept the pressure on, while Connor Norby delivered a clutch sacrifice fly to bring home the go-ahead run. Then came the ninth inning; Norby again delivered by driving in two more runs with a powerful double to secure a comfortable 11-8 lead. Our bullpen locked it down with Phillips keeping the Mets off the board in the final stretch. What a finish!
This game was a testament to the grit and determination of our team. Here's to many more wins this season! Go Marlins!
