Our lead grew to 3-0 in the fifth inning when Nick Castellanos walked and Edmundo Sosa singled, driving in Turner. But things took a turn in the seventh inning. Unfortunately, the Marlins retook the lead in the eighth inning with Jake Burger's solo homer and another run due to some defensive errors. In the ninth, they added another run, making it 7-4.Closing Thoughts
Our bats fell silent in the bottom of the ninth. Brandon Marsh struck out looking, and both Turner and Harper grounded out to end the game.It stings to lose a game where we had such a strong start, but hey, on to the next one! Gotta stay positive and keep cheering our boys on. Let’s go Phillies! ️
