Heartbreak in San Diego
Oh, Marlins fans, what a rollercoaster of emotions this game was! We kicked things off strong against the San Diego Padres, taking an early lead in the first inning. Our offense was popping with Jesus Sánchez leading the way. A single to right, followed by a fantastic double from Agustin Ramirez, scored Sánchez and presto - we were ahead, 1-0! Then, Connor Norby brought Ramírez home with a neat single. The inning ended with us ahead 2-0. What a start!
Marlins on Fire
In the second inning, Jesus Sánchez was at it again, blasting a homer to center for another run (417 feet!). Wow, Jesús was on fire today! We were sitting pretty at 3-0 by the middle of the 2nd inning. And then, as Padres faltered with three straight strikeouts from our boys, it was still 3-0.
The Padres finally got something moving in the 4th with a couple of runs, but we still held onto our lead at the end of the inning with a score of 3-2.Late-Inning Drama
As we approached the latter innings, the pressure was on, and every play had us on edge! In the bottom of the 8th, Manny Machado managed to hit a homerun for the Padres, tying the game at 3-3.
Our bats went cold for the next few innings as the Padres' defense tightened. Both sides were locked up until nail-biting moments showed up in the 11th inning.Wild Endings
The 11th inning turned out to be our downfall. The Marlins stayed strong defensively but the pressure eventually got to us.
Another wild pitch and Tyler Wade scored, spoiling our plans and breaking our hearts—4-3, Padres win. 
Despite the loss, we're still proud of the fighting spirit and the flashes of brilliance from our lineup tonight. Hasta la próxima, friends! We'll bounce back! Marlins forever!
