Tight Game at Busch Stadium
Hey Cards fans!
Struggles at Bat
Our bats were a bit quiet today. Brendan Donovan, Ivan Herrera, and Alec Burleson tried to get things started in the first, but Miami's pitching kept our line-up locked down. Even when Nolan Arenado reached second on a rare throwing error, we couldn't capitalize.
Defense and Pitching Highlights
On the mound, we had solid efforts from Miles Mikolas, O'Brien, Romero, and Leahy who did their best to give us a chance. Unfortunately, a two-run homer by Jesus Sánchez in the third inning, brought in Xavier Edwards and put the Marlins on the board. It was one of those games where Miami's bullpen got the better of us. Nevertheless, props to our guys for trying to turn the tides in the later innings, drawing some walks and getting players on base.Looking Forward
While this wasn't the result we wanted, there's plenty of baseball left to play! Let's keep supporting our Cardinals and look forward to the next game. We've got the talent and the heart to bounce back. Let's rally those bats and stay positive! On to the next one, Cards Nation!

Go Cards!
