Heartbreak at Home

Hey Nationals fans! Unfortunately, the game against the Marlins didn't go the way we hoped. Our Nats battled hard, but Miami ultimately took home the win with a score of 3-1.

Promising Start

Things started on a hopeful note in the bottom of the first. Alex Call started off by earning a walk. Then, CJ Abrams hit a dazzling double to right field, setting up Luis García Jr. to bring Call home, leveling the score at 1-1. Sadly, it turned out to be the only run we'd put on the board tonight 😞.

Missed Opportunities

Despite solid efforts from Keibert Ruiz with a single and Josh Bell securing a double in the eighth, the Marlins’ defense stood strong. Matthew Batten and Jaison Tena tried to spark momentum with singles and steals, but we couldn't capitalize on those chances.

Marlins' Strikes

The Marlins managed to sneak two more across. Dane Myers delivered a solo home run in the second inning, putting them in the lead. Eric Wagaman added another RBI with a sacrifice fly in the seventh, allowing the Marlins to extend their lead.

Reflect and Regroup

We'll have to regroup and come back stronger in the next matchup. It's never easy with games like this, but let's keep the faith, Nats fans, and cheer extra loud for our boys next time! See you at the park! 💪🔴⚾
