Game Recap: Brewers @ Braves
Atlanta Braves fans had their hopes up as they faced the Milwaukee Brewers, but unfortunately, the game ended in a narrow 5-4 loss. Despite the defeat, there were some exciting moments and standout performances from our Braves team that had us on the edge of our seats.
Promising Start
The Braves started strong in the bottom of the 1st inning. A clutch single by Ozzie Albies set the stage, and with Marcell Ozuna and Sean Murphy continuing the offensive action, Albies crossed home plate, giving us an early 1-0 lead. It was a great start and exactly what we needed to build some momentum.
Mid-Game Setbacks
In the 4th inning, the Brewers responded, taking the lead with a homer from Andrew Vaughn followed by an impressive two-run homer by Blake Perkins in the 5th. Despite Nacho Alvarez Jr. and Nick Allen's efforts in the 5th inning, our guys couldn't quite narrow the gap, making the score 5-2 by the end of the inning.
Closing In... But Not Quite Enough
Jurickson Profar gave us renewed hope in the 6th inning with a solo homer deep into left-center, and in the bottom of the 9th, Michael Harris II delivered a towering 451-foot homer. The Braves were closing in with the score at 5-4, but with two outs, pinch-hitter Drake Baldwin struck out to end the game. It was a valiant effort that just fell short.
Though the Braves came up just one run shy, there were individual performances to be proud of. Hopefully, our Braves can rally and bring home a victory in the next game. Always proud to be a Braves fan, regardless of the outcome!
