Tough Day at the Yard

What started as a promising game, with the Orioles coming out swinging, turned into a disheartening 11-5 loss against the Milwaukee Brewers. 😔

O's Early Lead Doesn't Hold

The game kicked off with some excitement as Ryan Mountcastle sent a deep homer to left center, giving the Orioles the lead in the bottom of the 1st. Not long after, Jordan Westburg added to the thrill with a two-run homer, pushing the O's up 3-0. Early game vibes were electric, making us fans hope for a big win. âš¡

Brewers Fight Back

Milwaukee didn't stay quiet for long, starting their scoring in the 2nd with a solo homer by Rhys Hoskins. The real turning point came in the top of the 4th, where the Brewers took a commanding lead, highlighted by a three-run homer off the bat of Jake Bauers. The Brewers' relentless offense didn't let up, extending their lead to 11-5 by the 8th inning, despite the Orioles' efforts to keep the game within reach.

Silver Linings

There were a few bright spots for us O's fans. Adley Rutschman's solo homer in the 3rd was a reminder of the young catcher's power at the plate. Also, Henderson’s RBI single in the 2nd showed signs of hope early on. Another positive takeaway was Mountcastle and Westburg both showing off their bats and defensive plays throughout the game. 🌟

Looking Ahead

While today’s game was tough to swallow, it’s important to remember it’s a long season, and games like these are all part of the ride. The Orioles have shown they can compete, and with the talent on this team, there are definitely brighter days ahead. Let's regroup, support our squad, and look forward to the next game. Go O’s! 🧡🖤
