Cubs Shine in Win Against Brewers!
The rivalry between the Cubs and Brewers continued to heat up, but today, it was all about our Cubs taking the victory at Wrigley Field with a final score of 6-4. Let's dive into the action-packed game, and highlight our standout performers!Solid Start in the 1st Inning
The Cubs came out swinging with a blistering start. After Michael Busch flied out to center, Ian Happ doubled to center, setting the tone. The Brewers' pitcher had a wild pitch, advancing Happ to third, and Seiya Suzuki walked to load the bases. Though Pete Crow-Armstrong's grounder resulted in Happ being out at home, Willi Castro reached on a throwing error, advancing runners. Owen Caissie then singled to right, allowing both Crow-Armstrong and Suzuki to score, putting us up 2-0 by the end of the first inning. Third Inning Fireworks
The third inning was a true display of Cubs magic! After a strong start with Suzuki walking once again and Crow-Armstrong doubling, Willi Castro blasted a homer to right center, driving in three runs and putting us comfortably ahead at 5-0! It was the kind of power-hitting Cubs fans love to see!Brewers Fight Back But Cubs Hold Strong
The Brewers didn’t go down without a fight. Christian Yelich got their first run on the board with a homer in the fourth, but our defense held strong. Despite some pressure in the 6th inning where they closed in to 5-4, Owen Caissie responded in the bottom of the 6th with a solo homer to extend our lead to 6-4.Locked Down in the Later Innings
Credit to our relievers who kept the Brewers at bay as the game progressed. Thielbar, Pomeranz, and Palencia came in clutch, working their magic on the mound with pivotal strikeouts and plays, sealing the win for the Cubs.Final Thoughts and Cheers to the Cubs!
Overall, it was a fantastic day for Cubs baseball, a true team effort packed with excitement, excellent defense, and some top-tier batting. Great contributions came across the board from the entire lineup, clearly showing why the Cubs are a force to be reckoned with. Go Cubs Go!
