Tough Night at Wrigley, but the Brewers Show Fight
What a whirlwind of emotions for us Brewers fans! The Crew faced the Cubs at Wrigley Field in what turned out to be a nail-biter of a game. Initially, things looked bleak as the Cubs took an early lead, but Milwaukee showed heart, making a late push to close the gap. Unfortunately, despite their efforts, the Brewers fell short, ending the game with a 5-6 loss to the Cubs.
Cubs Take Early Command
The game started off rough with the Cubs' Nico Hoerner blasting a home run to put the first run on the board. The first inning closed with the Cubs leading 2-0 after a series of walks and a fielder's choice that allowed them to sneak in another run. Christopher Morel later expanded their lead in the 3rd with a 2-run homer, putting the Cubs up 4-0.
