Reds Start Strong with Early Lead
Our beloved Reds came out swinging in the bottom of the first inning!
TJ Friedl leadoff with a double to right, setting the momentum for our side. Then, Elly De La Cruz brought the crowd to life with a single to center, allowing Friedl to score the first run of the game. Tyler Stephenson followed suit, advancing De La Cruz to third with another single to right. Spencer Steer made a crafty bunt, leading to a throwing error by the Brewers’ catcher, sending De La Cruz home, and putting us up 2-0! 
Sadly, Will Benson and Jose Trevino weren't able to add more runs to our total, but what a great start! Brewers Counter with a Comeback
Our solid start was met with resistance in the top of the second inning. The Brewers capitalized on some tricky situations, tying the game at 2-2. In a chaotic play, Rhys Hoskins' grounding and Sal Frelick's advance allowed Milwaukee to score their first of the game, eventually leading to an equalizer through a tactical sacrifice play. The response by our bullpen kept things under control for the time being. It's a game of chess, and the Brewers made their move.
Yelich's Power Shifts the Momentum
In the top of the third, Christian Yelich stole the spotlight with a monstrous solo homer to dead center, giving the Brewers a 3-2 lead. Our guys fought valiantly through the remainder of the game, with Friedl showing determination with a late-game single and Steer and Stephenson carrying the offensive torch for Cincinnati. Unfortunately, the Brewers' bullpen shut us down in the final innings, and we couldn’t find a way back.A Tough Loss But Resilient Fight
Though we fell just short, losing 3-2, the Reds showcased moments of brilliance on the field. There’s a lot of heart and talent on this team, and it's just a matter of time before everything clicks! Let’s keep cheering our heads up high and believe the next game's going to swing our way. Onward and upward, Cincinnati!
