Heartbreaker in the Ninth: Rockies Fall to Brewers 4-3
Rockies fans, last night's game was a roller-coaster of emotions. We fought hard, but in the end, the Brewers edged us out 4-3. Let's dive into the details.Rockies Take Early Lead
The game started off with a bang for us. After the Brewers scored a run in the top of the 2nd, Brenton Doyle blasted a solo homer to left (374 feet) to tie it up. Jacob Stallings followed with a triple to center, and Michael Toglia brought him home with a sacrifice fly. By the end of the 2nd inning, we were up 2-1!Pitching and Defense Hold Strong
Our pitching staff, especially starting pitcher Ryan Feltner, held the Brewers in check for most of the game. By the 6th inning, Ty Blach took over and continued to keep the Brewers at bay. The defense was solid, with key plays that kept the Brewers from scoring more. However, we did allow the tying run in the 7th inning after Jackson Chourio singled and eventually scored.Drama in the 8th and 9th
Ryan McMahon walked to start the bottom of the 8th. After a couple of outs, Brenton Doyle doubled to center, scoring McMahon. We regained the lead at 3-2! But in the top of the 9th, disaster struck. The Brewers loaded the bases, and while we managed an out, a hit-by-pitch allowed the go-ahead run to score.Although Ryan McMahon singled in the bottom of the 9th to give us hope, Elias DÃaz struck out swinging to end the game. A tough loss, but the fight in our Rockies was evident.
