Tough Loss Against the Dodgers
Hey Brewers fans, it was a tough one out there tonight as we fell to the Dodgers 8-5.
Early Struggles
The game started off slow for our offense. In the top of the 1st, Brice Turang, William Contreras, and Christian Yelich all got out quickly. Meanwhile, the Dodgers struck first with Will Smith homering to right center off of us.
Second and Third Inning
Things didn’t get much better in the second and third innings. Our guys couldn't get anything going, while Smith homered again in the 3rd inning to push the Dodgers' lead to 2-0.The Big 4th Inning
Finally, the 4th inning brought some fireworks!
Dodgers Respond Quickly
Unfortunately, the Dodgers responded immediately. Miguel Vargas homered to left field, bringing the score closer at 5-4 by the end of the 4th inning.Pitching and Missed Opportunities
We had our chances but couldn't capitalize. In the 5th and 6th innings, we remained scoreless and couldn't add on to our lead. The Dodgers were also held off by solid pitching until the 7th inning when Smith homered for the third time, tying the game at 5-5.
Late-Inning Heartbreak
It was the bottom of the 8th inning where things slipped away. The Dodgers scored three more runs, with Freddie Freeman and Teoscar Hernández contributing RBIs. We couldn't muster a response in the 9th inning, with Adames, Mitchell, and Hoskins all striking out to end the game.On to the Next!
Though this loss stings, there are still positives to take away. Hoskins' grand slam was electrifying, and the team showed it's capable of big innings. Let's bounce back in the next one, Brewers fans!
