Disappointing Night for the Brewers
Well, fellow Milwaukee fans, it was a challenging night for the Brewers as we fell to the Miami Marlins with a final score of 4-2.
Brewers Take Early Lead
The game started with promise as Jackson Chourio, who showcased some speed, reached on an infield single and stole second. Our very own Rhys Hoskins then drove him home with an impressive triple to right field in the top of the 2nd inning, putting us ahead 1-0.
A Tug-Of-War in the Middle Innings
As the game progressed through the fourth inning, fortune smiled again at us with Chourio doubling to left and then scoring off a single from Isaac Collins. But some missed opportunities and grounding outs left us tied 2-2.
Marlins’ Late Surge
Unfortunately, the bottom of the 8th inning spelled our doom. Despite a valiant effort from the bullpen, Agustin Ramirez managed to break the tie with a clutch single to left that brought not one, but two runners home, pushing the Marlins to a 4-2 lead. The Brewers fought hard in the ninth inning but couldn’t manage to get any runners across, and it ended with a loss.
While it wasn't the outcome we wanted, there were some promising performances to take back with us. Let's keep cheering for our Brewers and hope for a rebound in the next matchup. Go Brewers!
