A Tough Day for the Twins

Wow, talk about a rough outing for our beloved Twins! The final score may read 17-6 in favor of the Brewers, but baseball is all about perseverance—and there's plenty to unpack from this game. Let’s look at how it all unfolded.

A Slow Start on Both Sides

For the first few innings, there was a sense of anticipation, as the game stayed scoreless through the third inning. Our pitching seemed to keep the Brewers off balance early on. Byron Buxton and the rest of the lineup were unable to get on base, as the first three innings were a shutout for both teams. It wasn't until the fourth inning that the Brewers managed to get on the board via a sacrifice fly.

Pitching Woes and Brewers' Rampage

Our pitcher Jonah Bride kept things under control until the 6th inning when a few lapses allowed the Brewers to pull ahead. It was unfortunately a domino effect from there—errors and timely hitting by the Brewers widened the gap starting in the 7th inning. The Brewers just didn't hold back and capitalized on every opportunity presented.

Twins Show Resilience

Despite being down, Matt Wallner gave us something to cheer about with a 2-run homer in the 7th inning. ⚾💥 Although the deficit was big, the Twins didn’t roll over. In the 9th inning, with some determined at-bats, they managed to score another four runs. Ty France came through with a double to drive in two runs, and Brooks Lee also drove in a couple more. These glimpses of resilience remind us of the potential we have!

Looking Towards The Next Game

It's never easy to stomach a loss like that, but there were moments that shone through. Our guys never gave up, right down until the final out which shows great character. We’ll chalk this up as a learning experience and reset for the next game. As always, Go Twins! 🙌🧢
