Tough Start for the Phillies 😓

The Phillies faced a challenging outing against the Brewers, falling short with a final score of 6-2. The game had a rocky start when the Brewers got on the board early in the first inning. After Brice Turang doubled and Jackson Chourio singled, William Contreras grounded out but managed to bring Turang home. Sal Frelick followed up with an RBI single, putting the Brewers up 2-0. Our Phillies struggled to respond, with Bryson Stott and Trea Turner flying out and Kyle Schwarber striking out looking to end the inning.

Schwarber and Castellanos Shine 🌟

The highlight for the Phillies came in the 4th inning when Trea Turner singled to left and Kyle Schwarber's bat came alive with a double to center, bringing Turner home and putting the Phillies on the scoreboard. Schwarbs’ efforts cut the Brewer’s lead down to 5-1. In the 7th inning, Nick Castellanos brought some electricity with a solo homer to left, narrowing the score to 5-2.

Brewers Outlast Phillies 😫

However, the Brewers maintained their lead and added to it with a second homer by Christian Yelich in the 9th inning. This extended the Brewers' lead to 6-2. Despite some solid performances, our Phillies couldn’t mount a comeback, and Schwarber, Alec Bohm, and Castellanos were all retired in succession to end the game.

Despite the loss today, keep your hopes high, Phillies fans. The season is still young, and brighter days are surely ahead. Let's keep cheering on our team, no matter the result! 🥳👊
