Brewers Take the Lead Early
What a fantastic start for our Milwaukee Brewers! The game kicked off with Brice Turang singling to right, setting the tone for what would be a great outing. Isaac Collins walked right after, pushing Turang to second base. After a series of events, including errors courtesy of Pirates' third baseman Jared Triolo, Turang scored, giving us an early lead of 1-0!
Although the Pirates managed to tie it up in the second and edged ahead in the third, our boys weren't done yet.Bats Heat Up in the Sixth
Our Brewers showed resilience by coming alive in the top of the 6th inning! William Contreras got on base, and a crucial single by Jake Bauers scored both Contreras and Sal Frelick, pushing us ahead to a 3-2 lead. A special shoutout to Bauers for that clutch hit that brought home two runs!
This inning was crucial and reminded us why it's never over till it's over.Sealing the Victory
As we moved into the final innings, our Brewers tightened their grip on the game. In the 8th, Brice Turang struck again with a single to bring home Bauers, giving us a 4-2 edge. Our defense was rock solid, keeping the Pirates from making any significant headway. And let's not forget about that insurance run in the 9th thanks to more excellent play from Contreras and Frelick! A solid performance all around to finish with a 5-2 win.
