Tough Loss for the Brewers

Last night's game against the Padres was a rollercoaster of emotions for us Brewers fans. Despite a late rally, we fell short with a final score of 4-6. Let's dive into the game recap and celebrate some of the bright spots from our team.

Early Innings: Struggles on Offense

The Brewers struggled to get things going offensively in the early innings. In the top of the 1st, Brice Turang walked, but got caught stealing. William Contreras struck out swinging twice in the first three innings already setting a tough tone. Christian Yelich and Willy Adames also couldn’t find a breakthrough, leaving the score tied at 0-0.

Padres Strike First

The game was tight until the bottom of the 4th when the Padres broke through. Jackson Merrill homered (440 feet) to center, bringing in three runs and giving the Padres a 3-0 lead. Not long after, Ha-Seong Kim homered (374 feet) to stretch the lead to 4-0. Our pitchers just couldn’t catch a break.

Mid-Game: Missed Opportunities

Our Brewers had some chances but just couldn’t capitalize. In the top of the 5th, Tyler Black singled, and Jackson Chourio made it to second on a wild pitch, but the rest of the team couldn’t drive them home. Blake Perkins was able to get a hit in his pinch-hitting appearance, but we just couldn't string hits together.

Late Game Rally

In the 9th inning, it looked like we might pull off a comeback. With two men on base, Brice Turang homered (345 feet) to left field, bringing in Rhys Hoskins, Joey Ortiz, and Jake Bauers to close the gap to 6-4. This was the kind of clutch moment that gets fans out of their seats! But unfortunately, it wasn’t enough.

Final Thoughts

Even though we lost, it's great to see Brice Turang delivering big hits and showing promise for the future. Now, it's on to the next one. Let's continue to cheer loud and proud! 💪⚾
