Tough Loss in San Francisco
Hey Brewers fans, what a wild ride today against the San Francisco Giants. Unfortunately, we couldn't hold on to the early lead and ended up with a 5-2 loss against the Giants. Let's dive into the highlights.Strong Start, But Couldn't Hold On
The game started off well for the Brew Crew with Caleb Durbin blasting a two-run homer in the 2nd inning, driving in Joey Ortiz to give the Brewers an early lead. We were feeling good going into the bottom of the inning, with the score standing at 2-0 in our favor. However, the Giants managed to get on the board with a run in the bottom of the 2nd, making it 2-1.Giants Rally & We Fall Behind
Things got a little shaky in the 5th inning when the Giants managed to even the score at 2-2, thanks to a fielding error that allowed Fitzgerald to score. Our pitchers did their best, but couldn't stop Wilmer Flores from hitting a solo homer in the 6th, which gave the Giants a 3-2 lead.Despite Christian Yelich's consistent performance, getting on base multiple times and even stealing a base, the offense struggled to bring runners home after the early innings. The Giants extended their lead with another couple of runs, making it too challenging for us to come back.
Wrapping It Up
A tough day at the office as our bullpen couldn't contain the Giants' offense. A lot of credit to our boys for battling it out, and hats off to Caleb Durbin for his powerful homer! Let's keep the faith and look to bounce back in the next game. Go Brewers!
