A Bumpy Night in Seattle
Hey, fellow Mariners fans!
Promising Start But Couldn't Sustain
We started off with a strong second inning when Jorge Polanco doubled to right, followed by Dominic Canzone hitting another double to get on the scoreboard. Ben Williamson contributed with an infield single, driving in Canzone and tying the game at 2-2. Unfortunately, that was the peak of our scoring. Our offense struggled against the Brewers' pitching, particularly during the 4th inning where errors and a wild pitch allowed the Brewers to pull ahead.Battle in the Inning
Our pitching lineup had to battle hard but faced numerous challenges. Luis Castillo pitched until the 6th inning, but the Brewers were relentless, capitalizing on every opportunity, including a big 7th inning with key hits that widened the gap. Matt Thornton and Randy Legumina also pitched, with Legumina managing to get us through the 8th without further damage. Our closing inning with Ryder Garcia thankfully didn't yield more runs but by then, the game was out of reach.Looking Ahead
Even though the score wasn’t in our favor, there were some great individual performances. Julio Rodriguez and Polanco both had solid contact with the ball, and Canzone's clutch double was a nice highlight early in the game. We’ll take the positives from today, regroup, and come back stronger. Keep cheering loud, Mariners fans, because we've still got plenty of baseball ahead!
