Tough Loss at Busch Stadium
Well, fellow Cardinals fans, yesterday's game was a rollercoaster that unfortunately didn't end in our favor. The Milwaukee Brewers bested our St. Louis Cardinals with a final score of 12-5. Let's break down how the game unfolded, keeping our spirits high and hopes intact for the next one.
A Promising Start Quickly Overturned
The game started on a hopeful note, but the Brewers quickly gained momentum. Despite a solid effort from Nolan Arenado who doubled to left and got us on the board in the 1st inning, the Brewers outpaced us with a two-run homer from Rhys Hoskins. Our boys showed resilience in the 2nd inning, snagging the lead with a sacrifice fly from Brendan Donovan and singles by Willson Contreras and Alec Burleson, pushing us ahead 4-2.
The Brewers Take Control
However, the Brewers' offense came alive in the 4th, with back-to-back homers by Brice Turang and Jackson Chourio, edging them ahead 5-4. The 6th inning was particularly brutal for us, as the Brewers widened their lead to a hefty 9-4, courtesy of a series of singles and a wild pitch by Giovanny Gallegos.
