A Tough Battle in Toronto

Well, Brewers fans, it was a tense game last night against the Blue Jays. We started off with a bang thanks to William Contreras' two-run homer, with Jackson Chourio crossing the plate, which gave us an early 2-0 lead in the first inning. 🙌 Sal Frelick was also strong in the opening, knocking a single but unfortunately, Andrew Vaughn struck out swinging.

Back-and-Forth Action

Things took a turn during the bottom of the first when Nathan Lukes doubled, allowing Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and George Springer to score, followed by Ernie Clement bringing Lukes home, making it 3-2 in favor of Toronto. Our crew made a strong comeback though, with Brice Turang delivering a solo homer in the third inning, and Contreras league-tying the score at four runs each with a single to right field that brought Chourio home again. 😊

Blue Jays Take the Lead

Unfortunately, a few costly errors and missed opportunities on our side allowed the Blue Jays to regain the edge, particularly in the fifth inning where they put up three more runs, extending their lead to 8-4. 😞 Our offense was challenged by Toronto's pitching changes and couldn't capitalize on their mistakes, leaving runners on bases in multiple innings. Despite a solid effort from Isaac Collins and Andruw Monasterio, as well as a late rally attempt in the ninth, it just wasn't enough to bridge the gap.

It's a tough loss, but our Brewers showed heaps of grit. Let's keep our heads high and get ready for the next matchup! 💪 Let's go Brew Crew! 🍻
