A Great Start and a Powerful Finish
What a rollercoaster of emotions this game was!
Our Minnesota Twins took on the Baltimore Orioles, and it was a game that had everything you could hope for: explosive home runs, clutch hits, and great pitching to secure the victory. Right out of the gate, the Twins stormed ahead when Byron Buxton scored thanks to an infield single from Harrison Bader. Seeing Buxton set the pace early in the game was fantastic! However, the Orioles weren't about to let us run away with the game. Their offense lit up in the bottom of the third, scoring six runs to briefly take the lead. Cedric Mullins and Heston Kjerstad both delivered home run shots that flipped the game on its head. But, we as Twins fans know never to lose hopeāeven when the scores were going against us.
Twinsā Resurgence and Victory
Our resilience shone through in the latter innings, thanks to some stellar performance by Trevor Larnach and Willi Castro, who both had crucial homers to keep the Twins in striking range. The top of the eighth inning was pure magic! Kody Clemens came through with a heroic three-run bomb that vaulted us back into the lead, sealing the deal for the Twins.
