Chilly Start for Royals Against the Twins
Hey fellow Royals fans! Well, it wasn't the game we were hoping for today, as the Kansas City Royals fell to the Minnesota Twins 4-0. Both teams got off to a slow start, with both sides putting up zeroes on the scoreboard through the first three innings. Jonathan India and Bobby Witt Jr. had a tough time kick-starting our offense in the early innings.Middle Innings Make the Difference
It was a challenging stretch starting in the 4th inning when the Twins broke through. After a walk to Carlos Correa, Edouard Julien singled, driving Correa home to give the Twins their first run. Bobby Witt Jr. managed to hit a double in the bottom of the fourth, but a double play ended our hopes of scoring. The Twins added to their lead in the sixth and kept us in check offensively.Twins Seal the Victory
The 8th inning was a tough one as Matt Wallner extended the Twins' lead with a solo home run. Meanwhile, our guys weren't able to get much going, save for a single by Cavan Biggio. In the 9th, Ty France put the game further out of reach with a home run just to make things worse. Bobby Witt Jr. tried to ignite a last-minute rally with a walk in the final inning, but it wasn't enough.Keep your heads up, Royals fans! There are always brighter days ahead for our team.
