Disappointing Late Inning for the Twins
Hey Twins fans, what a rough game to follow. After our team led for the majority of the game, the Royals came back in the bottom of the 8th to steal the win.Hot Start by the Twins
We had a solid start, with Edouard Julien leading off the game with a single. The top of the 3rd inning was our shining moment. Julien doubled, and with two outs, Jose Miranda tripled to bring him in. Matt Wallner followed up with a clutch double to right, scoring Miranda and getting us a 2-0 lead.Pitching Dominance from Both Sides
Both teams' pitchers were on point today. Our bats went quiet from the 4th inning onwards, but their pitchers were sharp too. Joe Ryan kept the Royals off the scoreboard until the 8th inning, showing some excellent control.Crushing 8th Inning
The bottom of the 8th was a nightmare. Jhoan Duran came in and things went downhill quickly. From a series of singles and a throwing error by Brooks Lee, the Royals managed to score 4 runs, turning our 2-0 lead into a 4-2 deficit. Tommy Pham and Bobby Witt Jr. led the charge for Kansas.Failed Rally in the 9th
Top of the 9th, we had one last chance to make things right. Unfortunately, Royce Lewis, Brooks Lee, and Ryan Jeffers all went down in order, sealing our fate.Final Thoughts
Tough loss today with a final score of 4-2 in favor of the Royals. Our pitching was mostly solid, and we had a good early lead, but those late innings, man... Let's hope we bounce back in the next game. Keep your heads up, Twins Territory!Scoreboard for Twins @ Royals (September 7th, 2024)
