Game Overview
Woohoo!
Early Breakthrough
In the bottom of the 1st inning, our batting power was put on full display. With Xavier Edwards starting us off with a sweet single, he was soon sent to third thanks to a hit by Jesus Sánchez. Otto Lopez then grounded into a fielder’s choice, allowing Edwards to score and give us the lead! The real fireworks exploded when Agustin Ramírez smacked a homer 425 feet to deep left-center, bringing in Lopez and energizing the crowd with a 3-0 lead!
Strong Defense and Pitching
The innings that followed showcased some impressive defense and pitching from the Marlins. While our bats quieted down, our pitchers showed their grit. Twins players struggled to find any rhythm against our pitching arsenal, especially in the tense moments when they got on base. Special shoutout to our relief pitchers for holding down the fort against any serious comeback attempts from the Twins!Securing the Win
The Twins attempted a rally in the top of the 7th, with Matt Wallner hitting a solo homer, but we were quick to regroup. Eric Wagaman and Liam Hicks delivered solid singles in the bottom of the inning, even though we couldn’t add to our score. Our pitchers closed out the final innings flawlessly, with the highlight being Henriquez shutting down the 9th inning, ensuring victory in style!
