A Tough Day at Citi Field
The Mets faced a challenging game today against the Twins, ultimately falling 8-3. Despite a promising start and some moments of brilliance, we couldn't keep up with Minnesota's explosive third inning. Let's break down what happened.Initial Hope in the Second Inning 
After a scoreless first inning, the Twins took an early lead with a solo home run by Buxton in the top of the second. But our boys fought back quickly. Jeff McNeil led off with a single and Mark Vientos followed with a two-run homer, putting us ahead 2-1. The crowd was electric, hoping this was a sign of things to come.The Third Inning Meltdown 
The third inning was a nightmare. Austin Martin started it off with a single and a stolen base, scoring on Trevor Larnach's single. The Twins then piled on with hits from Max Kepler, Royce Lewis, and a devastating two-run homer by Matt Wallner. By the end of the inning, the Twins had put up a brutal 5 runs, leading 6-2.Struggles at the Plate and on the Mound
From the fourth inning onward, our bats went quiet. Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and J.D. Martinez couldn't get much going against the Twins' pitching. We only managed a couple of singles here and there, but nothing substantial to mount a serious comeback.Bright Spots and Final Push 
One highlight was Luis Torrens coming off the bench in the ninth inning to get a single and eventually scoring on Jose Iglesias's groundout, adding a small glimmer to an otherwise tough day. Unfortunately, it was too little, too late.Final Thoughts
