A Stellar Start by Buxton

The Minnesota Twins had a fantastic start, and it was none other than our powerhouse Byron Buxton who rocketed a homer to left-center, marking his presence with authority! 🎉 That 386-foot homer set the tone for a commanding win against the Phillies. With 1-0 on the scoreboard, the Twins took an early lead!

Minnesota’s Defense and More Runs

Our pitchers were relentless, striking out Bader, Schwarber, and Harper in succession—nothing short of sensational defense in the bottom of the 1st! In the top of the 4th, we saw clever base-running from Kody Clemens who scored thanks to Brooks Lee’s excellent placement. The score was climbing—2-0, but the Twins weren't done yet.

Bats on Fire!

The fire continued when James Outman smashed a 436-foot homer in the top of the 5th, pushing us to a comforting 3-0. Then, Ryan Fitzgerald unleashed a roaring 413-foot homer in the 7th, enhancing the lead to 4-0. To wrap it up, Ryan Jeffers stepped up with a double to center, allowing Austin Martin to scoot home. 🎊 The tally: 5-0.

Dominating the Phillies

The Phillies couldn't match our rhythm, even as they tried to rally. Each of their attempts was met with our unwavering defense. The final blow came in the bottom of the 9th when Nick Castellanos struck out swinging, sealing a well-deserved shutout! 🥳 What a game by our Twins! With stellar performances across the board, there's a wave of excitement for what’s next! Go Twins! ⚾️
