An Intense Pitcher's Duel in Seattle
As a diehard Minnesota Twins fan, watching our boys go head-to-head with the Seattle Mariners always has me on the edge of my seat.
Our Offense Tried but Couldn't Capitalize
Trevor Larnach got the Twins started in the top half of innings 1 through 3 with solo hits, but unfortunately, solid hits didn’t convert into runs. Ryan Jeffers, Matt Wallner, and Carlos Correa all bravely faced the Mariners' pitching but couldn't quite bring anyone home during the middle and later innings. Willi Castro, Kody Clemens, and the rest of our offensive lineup fought hard, highlighted by Harrison Bader's smart sac fly that eventually tied the game in the 9th inning at 1-1.
A Heartbreak in the Bottom of the 9th
The Mariners got their breakthrough in the 7th with a homer from Cal Raleigh, making it 1-0. It was a battle to the end. Although Julio RodrÃguez's aggression on the bases created a nerve-wracking moment, it was Randy Arozarena's single that finally brought RodrÃguez home, and snatched up the win for the Mariners in the bottom of the 9th. A tough loss, but there's always tomorrow!
Onward and upward, Twins fans! Let's rally in the next game and showcase our resilience!
