Tough Loss in Seattle: Mariners Fall to Twins 5-3
Hey Mariners fans,
it was a tough day at the ballpark as our Mariners fell to the Minnesota Twins with a final score of 5-3.Early Struggles
The game started rough with the Twins taking an early lead in the 1st inning. Willi Castro singled to right and eventually scored on a single by Trevor Larnach. Our boys didnāt get on the scoreboard early despite J.P. Crawford and Julio RodrĆguez doing their best. We were 0-1 by the end of the 1st inning.The Pitching Battle
Luis Castillo had a solid start, holding the Twins to just a single run until the 5th inning. Unfortunately, thatās when things started to slip. A double by Austin Martin scored Max Kepler, and a single by Jose Miranda brought Martin home, stretching the Twinsā lead to 3-0.Mariners Fight Back
Our Mariners never gave up! In the bottom of the 5th, Dylan Moore kicked things off with a triple. A fielding error on a grounder by RodrĆguez to the pitcher brought Moore in, sparking our comeback. Then a couple of clutch hits, including an infield single by Luke Raley that scored Josh Rojas, cut the Twins' lead to 3-2.Jorge Polanco continued our rally in the 7th by singling in Raley, tying the game up at 3-3. The energy in the stadium was absolutely electric!
The Decisive Blow
The 8th inning was the heartbreaker. Trevor Larnach hit a two-run homer off Ryne Stanek, giving the Twins the final edge at 5-3. We couldnāt muster any more runs, despite some close calls and hard hits. Jhoan Duran shut us down in the 9th, securing the save for the Twins.Final Thoughts
