Cardinals Clinch Victory with a Big Sixth Inning!
️
What a fantastic win for our St. Louis Cardinals last night! The final score might have been 5-1, but the game was tightly contested until our boys broke it open in the sixth inning.
Early Action: Nootbaar and Arenado Shine
The game kicked off with a solid start for the Cards. Lars Nootbaar was on fire right from the get-go, singling to left and setting up Nolan Arenado to bring him home with a single to center! That got us on the board early in the first inning!

Nail-Biting Moments
For much of the game, it was neck-and-neck as the teams were tied 1-1. The Twins managed to score in the second inning, but our pitchers remained cool. We saw some amazing defense, especially in the third inning when Carlos Correa grounded into a double play to end the Twins' threat.
Explosive Sixth Inning!
The game turned in our favor during the bottom of the sixth inning. It all started with an Arenado double, followed by a base hit from Ivan Herrera bringing him home. The bases were then loaded, and Nootbaar once again stepped up, hitting a crucial single to center that brought two more runs in. That hit pushed our lead to 4-1, and the Twins didn't know what hit them!
Closing It Out
Our bullpen held strong with JoJo Romero and Nick Maton ensuring there was no comeback for Minnesota. Víctor Scott II proved his speed with a timely steal and run off a sacrifice fly by Brendan Donovan to ensure we finished the game with a comfortable lead.

Final Thoughts
A great team performance where both our offense and defense contributed to this solid win. Let's keep this momentum going, Cards fans!
