Tough Start in Toronto

Our beloved Minnesota Twins took on the Toronto Blue Jays tonight, and let’s just say the game didn’t start off on the right foot. ☹️ In the top of the 1st inning, Byron Buxton, Trevor Larnach, and Brooks Lee couldn't get on base, though they sure tried! But it wasn't long before the Blue Jays jumped ahead. After George Springer and Nathan Lukes got on base, a couple of hits from Bo Bichette and Alejandro Kirk later, we found ourselves trailing 4-0 by the end of the 1st.

Wallner Shining Bright

Fast forward a bit—just when we needed it, Matt Wallner gave us Twins fans something to cheer about! 💥 In the 4th inning, he smashed a homer to right-center, putting a point on the board for us. His performance was the highlight of our offense today, with another spectacular 432-foot homer in the 6th inning bringing us up to 4 runs. Wallner is becoming a fan-favorite for a reason!

Challenging Day for the Pitchers

Unfortunately, the Blue Jays’ bats stayed hot throughout the game. Despite the early pitching change after Randy Dobnak struggled, the Blue Jays managed to keep the momentum going, with Tyler Kriske and Edward Cabrera trying to keep their powerful lineup in check. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. and company piled up, leading to a score of 10-4 by the end. 😖

It’s games like these where you see the ups and downs of baseball—but stay positive, Twins fans! Every game is a chance to improve and come back stronger the next day. 🌟 See you at the next one!
