Mets Triumph Over Braves in Thrilling Matchup
What a game, Mets fans! The New York Mets powered through to claim a well-deserved victory against the Atlanta Braves with a final score of 12-7. Our bats were hot today, and we saw some incredible performances!Early Lead Sets the Tone
The Mets got off to a fantastic start in the top of the 2nd inning. A series of clutch singles and a walk brought us a healthy early lead, with Brett Baty and Hayden Senger crossing the plate. By the middle of the 2nd, we were up 2-0! The momentum continued in the 3rd inning as a stunning triple by Cedric Mullins brought home both Pete Alonso and Baty, stretching our lead to 4-0.
Dominating the Middle Innings
Francisco Lindor showed his prowess at the plate and on base paths in the 4th inning, scoring thanks to a sacrifice fly from Starling Marte. An RBI double from Mark Vientos followed by a double from Tyrone Taylor saw us ending the 4th with a 7-2 lead. But we weren’t done yet!
In the 7th inning, Juan Soto launched a two-run homer, bringing Lindor home and elevating our lead to 9-2.Sealing the Victory
In the 8th inning, Senger and Soto contributed three more runs, and the Braves’ late attempts to rally were thwarted by our solid pitching and defense. Though the Braves put up some runs late in the bottom of the 9th, the Mets remained composed, and Ryan Helsley closed out the game to secure our victory.Fans, this win definitely feels sweet—our lineup showed depth and determination from top to bottom.
