Tough Loss for the Braves
Hey Braves Nation!
Early Innings: Finding Momentum
Starting off, the first couple of innings were nearly uneventful, staying at 0-0 until the Mets broke the ice in the third inning. We saw Jeff McNeil crush a three-run homer to right, which unfortunately set the tone.In the bottom of the 4th, Ronald Acuña Jr. and Matt Olson helped get us on the board. Marcell Ozuna brought in Olson with a sac fly, and Drake Baldwin grounded out to let Acuña score, keeping us in the game with 2 runs. Although we didn't get more runs in, hope was high!

Middle and Late Innings: Mets Taking Charge
The Mets brought out the big bats in the 7th inning, highlighted by Pete Alonso's two-run homer and another solo rocket from Starling Marte. It extended their lead, making the score 7-2. Our bullpen, unfortunately, couldn't quell the storm.Despite the odds, Nick Allen and Vidal Bruján kept their heads in the game, working hard in the field. While Sean Murphy came in to pinch-hit, his effort fell just short with a strikeout to end the 7th.
Final Push and Closing Thoughts
Hopes of a rally in the final inning were put to rest as the Mets added 2 more, bringing the score up to 9-2. No thanks to the likes of Mark Vientos and McNeil, who hammered back-to-back homers. Braves pitcher Spencer Strider had some growing pains today, but we're sure he'll come back stronger next game!
In the bottom of the 9th, we hoped for a little magic, but Ronny Mauricio and crew held us off for the remainder of the inning. Despite the loss, we're always proud of how the Braves fight till the very end. Keep your heads up, y'all. We've got this next time!
