Tough Night in Atlanta

Oh Mets fans, it was a tough one last night against the Atlanta Braves! Despite an early lead, we couldn't hold onto the momentum and ended up losing 7-1. 😔 Our boys came out swinging, with Ronny Mauricio knocking in Tyrone Taylor in the second inning to give us a 1-0 lead. It was looking promising, but the Braves had other plans.

A Game of Tough Breaks

We saw some solid contact in the early innings. Brandon Nimmo doubled in the third, and if you had blinked, you might have missed Juan Soto and Pete Alonso teaming up for back-to-back singles in the first inning. But man, those strikeouts really started to stack up, and it felt like every time we got something started, it was shut down just as quickly. 😓

Braves' Big Inning

The turning point had to be in the sixth inning. The Braves put up four runs and suddenly our 1-1 tie turned into a 5-run deficit. Matt Olson was the real thorn in our side, driving in runs with a crucial double. The pitching change couldn't hold them down, and Drake Baldwin kept the pressure on, eventually extending their lead to 7-1. 💥

Looking Forward

Despite the loss, there were glimpses of what makes this team exciting. Francisco Lindor, Jeff McNeil, and Pete Alonso — these guys will bounce back, and we'll be ready to show the Braves what we're made of next time. Keep your heads up, Mets fans! Let's get back to Citi Field and show them what we can do! 🗽⚾
