Thrilling Encounter at Camden Yards
What a game we had at Camden Yards today! The Baltimore Orioles took on the New York Mets and came out with an impressive 7-3 victory. It was an electrifying night, filled with spectacular plays and pivotal moments that led us to a sweet victory.
️Slow Start, Strong Finish
The game started with the Mets taking an early lead as both Brandon Nimmo and Francisco Lindor made it across home plate in the first inning, leaving us trailing with a score of 0-2. But that didn't keep the Orioles down for long! In the bottom of the second inning, Cedric Mullins hit a double and shortly after, Alex Jackson's double brought him home. Then, Jordan Westburg wowed the crowd with a magnificent two-run homer, giving the Orioles a 3-2 lead.
Dominating the Mid to Late Innings
Though the Mets tied it up in the fourth, our boys didn't back down. In the fifth inning, a crucial series of plays—thanks to Colton Cowser and a little help from Ramon Urías (and an error by the Mets!)—pushed us back into the lead, 5-3. By the time Westburg scored again in the sixth and Ramon Laureano contributed another run later in the inning, we had solidified our lead to a commanding 7-3. Our relief pitchers, especially Andrew Kittredge and Camilo Doval, did an excellent job containing the Mets’ bats.
Closing the Game in Style
The final innings showcased our pitching prowess as we blanked the Mets, allowing no additional runs in the seventh and eighth innings. Jordan Westburg, a true hero for our lineup today, not only showcased his power but also some strategic batting that kept the momentum going. This victory continues to propel our Orioles as strong contenders this season! Let's keep this streak going, Baltimore fans!
