Dominant First Inning Powers Red Sox to Victory
What a fantastic game from our beloved Boston Red Sox!
Starting the game off with a bang in the bottom of the 1st inning, Alex Bregman, Triston Casas, Trevor Story, and Masataka Yoshida made sure the Red Sox took a commanding lead early. With Bregman showing his skill with a single and later scoring, followed by Casas and Story contributing significantly, the inning was capped off by Yoshida with a game-changing ground rule double that brought in two runs! The Mets tried to claw back as Jose Siri launched a three-run homer in the 3rd inning, momentarily bringing the game within reach. But not to worry! Trevor Story continued his dazzling performance by doubling to left in the following half, and scoring thanks to a crucial single by Masataka Yoshida. The Red Sox squad stayed composed and kept up the aggressive offense to maintain the lead.

Another Alex Bregman moment of brilliance was demonstrated in the 4th inning where he connected on a single, bringing home Carlos Narvaez to extend the lead to 6-3. And speaking of stellar performances from the mound, our bullpen ensured the job was done, with major props to our closers and relievers who silenced the Mets' bats when it mattered most. Special kudos to Mills for shutting the door in the 9th, striking out Alex Ramirez and working through the lineup with poise.
️Overall, a terrific win for our Red Sox with the game ending 6-4! The Fenway faithful had plenty to cheer about and it's these sorts of games that boost the team's morale. Onward, Sox!
