Tough Loss in Denver
Another tough game for our Mets as we fell to the Colorado Rockies 6-3. It certainly had moments of hope, but ultimately, the Rockies took control.Promising Start
The game started off well with Harrison Bader driving in Pete Alonso and Jose Iglesias in the second inning to give us an early 2-0 lead. However, the Rockies capitalized on some fielding errors and quickly closed the gap.Rockies Surge Ahead
It was really the bottom of the 4th that stung. Elias Díaz doubled to score Brendan Rodgers, and then Jake Cave knocked a homer to bring the score to 4-2. We lost the momentum there.Fighting Back
Brandon Nimmo tried to bring us closer by driving in Tyrone Taylor in the 5th to make it 4-3. Kudos to Nimmo for not giving up and getting that RBI!More Rockies Runs
The Rockies, however, scored again in the 5th and 8th innings to extend their lead to 6-3. We tried to make a late push, but couldn't get any more runs across the plate.Final Thoughts
It was a hard-fought game with some good plays from Bader and Nimmo, but fielding errors and missed opportunities really cost us. We've got to shake this one off and get ready for the next game. Let's go Mets!Feel free to share your thoughts and frustrations below, fellow Mets fans!
