Big W in the Motor City!
Wow, Mets fans! What a thrilling offensive explosion from our boys last night as we took down the Tigers in Detroit with a decisive 12-5 victory!

The action kicked off in the Top of the 1st when Pete Alonso belted a massive 435-foot homer to center, giving us an early lead. Although the Tigers responded and grabbed a brief 2-1 lead, our Mets didn't waste any time unleashing our bats.

The Breakout 4th Inning
The game truly shifted in the 4th inning. Jeff McNeil and Cedric Mullins both provided crucial RBIs, and Luis Torrens blasted a three-run homer to deep right, putting us ahead 6-2. With electric base running and a flawless pitching shutdown from Tigers, the innings belonged to us!
Power Surge & All-Star Performances
We brought out the big bats again in the 7th. Juan Soto launched a 408-foot homer, immediately followed by a 388-foot shot by Pete Alonso—his second of the night!
Brandon Nimmo, the guy always on base, put on a base-hitting clinic with four hits and scored three times, setting the tone for our hitters. It's performances like these that pump us up as fans and show why this Mets team is something special!

Lockdown Defense and Closing Out
Though the Tigers rallied for a few in the 9th, our bullpen showed grit to calm things down. Ryne Stanek came in and sealed the deal. Let's tip our cap to the entire bullpen for keeping things solid after an explosive lead was built. The energy and passion our Mets showcased today were sensational. It's a fantastic time to be a Mets fan! Let's bring this momentum back home. Here’s hoping for another dominant performance next game! Let's go Mets!
