A Strong Start for the Mets!
What an exhilarating game for us Mets fans as our team dominated the Los Angeles Dodgers in a 6-1 victory! The action started right in the first inning when Francisco Lindor was hit by a pitch, giving us an early base runner. After Brandon Nimmo reached first thanks to a Dodgers' error and stole second, Juan Soto grounded out but not before pushing Lindor home to give us our first run! The highlight of the inning came from Pete Alonso, who crushed a two-run homer to right-center, giving the Mets a solid 3-0 lead.

Consistent Defense and Solid Pitching
Our defense and pitching were rock solid throughout the game. The Dodgers struggled to find their rhythm as our team retired them inning after inning. Shohei Ohtani, Mookie Betts, and Freddie Freeman all went down in the first inning without troubling the scoreboard. The Mets' pitchers, supported by our steadfast defense, kept the Dodgers' big guns quiet, ensuring they didn't score until a lone homer by Andy Pages in the ninth!
Alonso's Bat Does It Again!
As if his first homer wasn't thrilling enough, Pete Alonso struck again in the eighth inning with another home run, this time a colossal 447-feet blast to left-center, bringing home Nimmo and Soto and cementing the Mets' lead at 6-0. This guy knows how to put on a show! It was a fantastic performance that left Dodgers’ fans stunned and ensured our Mets an unassailable lead. Victory never felt so sweet!
Closing It Out with Style
Andy Pages finally broke the Dodgers' scoring drought with a solo home run in the ninth inning, but by then, the game was already in the bag for the Mets. Our team's excellent pitching, topped off by a commanding performance by Stanek to close it out, sealed the game at 6-1, and we walked out of the Dodgers' stadium with a well-deserved win. Let's Go Mets!
