A Tough Night in Miami
Even though we were hopeful, it was a rough game for the Mets down in Miami. Going up against the Marlins, we saw strong efforts, but ultimately fell short with a final score of 4-2. It certainly wasn't for lack of trying, as we had some highlights, but the Marlins managed to hold us off just enough to secure their win.
Early Sparks and a Tie Game
In the top of the 2nd inning, it was Brandon Nimmo who made us jump out of our seats with a homer to right center, bringing us within one (388 feet!). Later, it was Francisco Lindor who came through once again, driving in Luisangel Acuña to tie the game in the top of the 3rd inning. That's what we like to see - persistence!

Marlins Respond and Close It Out
Unfortunately, the Marlins retaliated in the bottom of the 4th, aided by a couple of fielding errors – and props to Graham Pauley for capitalizing with a double that brought in two runs, which ultimately sealed the game for the Marlins. As much as it hurts to admit, they managed to hold the lead, as our bats couldn't quite find their rhythm afterward. It was a hard-fought battle, but these games happen. We'll get 'em next time! Every team has its off days, and tonight just wasn't ours.
