Mets Bounce Back for a Big Victory!
We sure love it when our boys light up the scoreboard!
Explosive 5th Inning
Things started slow for both sides, with the Marlins taking an initial lead in the first inning thanks to a homer by Otto Lopez. But worry not, Mets fans! The fireworks truly began in the 5th inning. Luisangel Acuña kicked off the rally with an infield single, followed by a double from Jose Siri that had us cheering as Acuña crossed home plate. Then, with the bases loaded, Pete Alonso crushed a grand slam, sending the ball 400 feet to right, bringing home Siri, Starling Marte, and Juan Soto.
Adding More Fuel to the Fire
In the 6th inning, our guy Brandon Nimmo added two more runs to the board with a towering homer to center, shooting past 412 feet! The Mets ended the top of the 6th with a commanding 10-1 lead. While the Marlins tried a comeback in the 9th inning, scoring two runs just as it all closed out, our beautiful lead made sure the game was firmly ours. Pitchers Delivering Consistency
The Mets pitchers had some standout moments too. The combination of Peterson, Brazobán, and Young ensured that our boys kept the Marlins' bats mostly silent, with strikeouts aplenty, especially key ones in early innings when the game was still tight. This cohesion highlight how our team is robust both in batting and pitching.Mets fans, it's games like this that remind us of why we love this team. Together, we're riding the momentum onward with confidence that the Mets can keep bringing the heat. Let’s relish this incredible team effort and look forward to the coming games. Until next time, Let's Go Mets!
