A Strong Start
We came out swinging in the first inning!
Brice Turang led off with a double to left, and Jackson Chourio followed with a single to put runners on the corners. William Contreras then singled to right, bringing home Turang to make it 1-0. Willy Adames walked to load the bases, and Rhys Hoskins got hit by a pitch to score Chourio, putting us up 2-0. Great patience and hitting early on! 
Second Inning Blues
However, the top of the second inning wasn't kind to us. A triple from Winker drove in two runs for the Mets, followed by a sac fly from Marte, putting them ahead 3-2. Despite some shaky moments, our defense managed to stop further damage.Back and Forth
We evened it out in the bottom of the fourth. Sal Frelick doubled to right and scored on mistakes by the Mets' defense after Chourio singled to center. Contreras then grounded out but drove in Turang to give us the lead again at 4-3. It was a brief but sweet lead!
The Fifth Inning Downturn
The fifth inning was tough to watch
. An infield single from Iglesias tied the game at 4-4, followed by Vientos driving in two more runs to put the Mets up 6-4. Then, J.D. Martinez pinch-hit for Winker and singled to bring home two more runs, making it 8-4. We tried rallying by changing pitchers, but nothing seemed to work.The Rest of the Game
Sadly, our bats just couldn't get back into the groove after the Mets put up their runs. From the fifth inning onwards, we couldn't muster any more offense, and their bullpen shut us down. Kudos to Brandon Nimmo and Pete Alonso for playing solid defense against us, and their relievers did a fantastic job keeping our hitters in check. The final score ended up 8-4 in favor of the Mets.Let’s keep our heads up, Brewers fans – there’s always the next game!
