Pitchers' Duel Turns Dramatic

Wow, what a game Twins fans! We had ourselves a thrilling battle against the Mets at home, and boy, did it go down to the wire! 🎢 Both teams were showing their pitching strength early on, keeping each other scoreless through four innings. Edouard Julien and Byron Buxton kept trying to get things going, but the Mets' defense had other plans.

Finally Breaking Through

In the 5th inning, we saw some sparks fly with Willi Castro doubling to center. Harrison Bader came through with a brilliant single, bringing Castro home and lighting up the scoreboard for us. That seemed to ignite our lineup because Buxton then drove in Bader with a single up the center. It was great to see Ryan Jeffers score on Castro's infield single in the 6th, giving us a 3-0 lead! 🎉

Holding Strong and the Nail-Biting Finish

But of course, it wouldn't be a classic baseball game without some drama. The Mets clawed their way back in the 8th inning with some timely hits, tying the game at three. 🚨 Our bullpen held firm thanks to some clutch performances from Jax and Sands. Jhoan Duran also held his nerve beautifully in the 9th inning. Going to extras is always nerve-wracking, but Ty France had the final say, smashing a single to bring home Buxton and clinch a walk-off 4-3 victory for the Twins! 🏆

Let's savor this victory, Twins Nation! 🌟
