Neither the Mets nor the Yankees managed to score in the first inning. Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo both struck out, while our DH superstar J.D. Martinez got caught looking. In the second inning, we saw the Yankees' Gleyber Torres hammer a homer to right center, giving them a 1-0 lead. But no worries, our defense held strong as Carlos Narváez struck out and DJ LeMahieu could do no more than single to left.Mets Even the Score
By the fifth inning, we finally managed to get something cooking. Luis Torrens walked and Jeff McNeil got an infield single. A sequence of hits and a hit-by-pitch to Lindor brought McNeil home, tying the score 1-1.McNeil’s Heroics!

The Yankees responded with a run off a Alex Verdugo double in the bottom of the sixth, but that’s all they could muster. Anthony Volpe scored, making it 2-3, but our relievers held firm. Ottavino, Young, Núñez, and Maton all pitched their hearts out to protect our lead.Tense Final Innings
The final innings were full of tension and close calls. Bader reached second on an error in the ninth but was caught stealing third. Our pitching was lights out with Diekman taking down key hitters—Soto walked, Judge struck out, and Rice grounded out to seal the deal.Victory Celebration! 
What a game, Mets fans! Despite some shaky moments, we held on for a thrilling 3-2 victory against the Yankees. Props to Jeff McNeil for that decisive homer and to Pete Alonso for keeping the pressure on. Let's keep this momentum rolling!
