An Intense Battle: Padres Walk Off Against the Mets! 
What a thrilling game we had last night as the Padres pulled off an incredible 3-2 victory over the New York Mets! This was definitely one for the books, as it kept us on the edge of our seats until the very last play. Let's dive into the action-packed summary!Early Innings: A Pitcher's Duel 
The game started off as a tight pitching duel with neither team managing to score through the first three innings. Both pitchers were dealing, and defense was on point. Our boys had scattered hits here and there, but we couldn’t push any runs across the plate.Mid-Game Tension: Mets Strike First 
In the top of the 4th inning, the Mets drew first blood with a solo homer by J.D. Martinez to center field. A couple of walks and a pitching change later, we managed to escape further damage with the bases loaded. Middle of the 4th: Mets up 1-0.We couldn’t answer back in the bottom of the 4th, despite a walk from Manny Machado. Fast-forward to the top of the 7th, Mark Vientos extended the Mets' lead to 2-0 with his own home run. Things were looking a bit bleak for our Padres at this point.
7th Inning Comeback: Padres On The Move 
Finally, our bats started waking up in the bottom of the 7th inning. Manny Machado singled, and Jackson Merrill walked. After a pitching change by the Mets, pinch-hitter Luis Arraez's deep flyout allowed Machado to advance to third. Even though Merrill got caught stealing, you could sense a shift in momentum.8th Inning Fireworks: Tying the Game 
In the bottom of the 8th, the offense broke through. Mason McCoy drew a walk and Jurickson Profar sent a 390-foot bomb to right field, tying the game at 2-2! The crowd went wild and the energy in the stadium was electric.Walk-Off Glory: Merrill's Heroics 
Moving into the bottom of the 9th, tied at 2, the stage was set for a dramatic finish. Jackson Merrill stepped up to the plate and delivered a clutch 379-foot homer to right field, sealing the deal for the Padres!
