Mariners Dominate Mets in Massive 12-1 Victory! ️
What a game, Mariners fans! The Seattle Mariners took on the New York Mets and completely dominated, securing a 12-1 victory. Our team showed impressive performance, with key players stepping up big time.Early Innings: A Pitcher's Duel
The first inning was quiet for both sides. Victor Robles lined out, and Randy Arozarena struck out swinging. Cal Raleigh managed a single, but we couldn't capitalize with Julio Rodríguez striking out. The Mets experienced similar struggles, with Francisco Lindor, Brandon Nimmo, and J.D. Martinez all being retired, leaving the score 0-0.Polanco Sparks the Offense
In the bottom of the second inning, Jorge Polanco hit a massive 416-foot homer to center, giving us an early lead, 1-0. Although we didn't add more runs in that inning, it was the spark we needed.Building the Lead
The bottom of the 5th saw a huge breakthrough. Dominic Canzone hit a ground-rule double, followed by Arozarena reaching base and driving in Canzone for another run. Then, Cal Raleigh hit a 415-foot homer, bringing the score to 4-0. In the top of the 6th, the Mets' Jeff McNeil managed to get one run back with a solo homer, but the Mariners responded swiftly in the bottom of the inning.Explosive 6th Inning
The bottom of the 6th was a masterclass in hitting and capitalizing on mistakes. Polanco started things with a double, followed by patient at-bats resulting in loaded bases. An error by McNeil allowed us to score more, and Raleigh hit another home run, making it 10-1. It was a thrilling inning that put the game out of reach for the Mets.Closing It Out in Style
In the bottom of the 7th, Victor Robles walked, driving in another run, followed by Arozarena being hit by a pitch with the bases loaded, making the score 12-1. Our relief pitchers did their job fabulously, with Voth and others maintaining control till the end.Final Thoughts
It was a fantastic game from start to finish. Cal Raleigh had a particularly standout performance with multi-run homers, and Jorge Polanco set the tone early.
