Rough Day for the Rangers ​

It was a tough game for our Texas Rangers as we faced off against the New York Mets and unfortunately, we came up short. The Mets dominated the game with a final score of 14-2. Here's how it all went down.

Mets Start Strong ️​

In the top of the 1st inning, the Mets quickly got on the board with an RBI single by Pete Alonso. Our guys tried to respond but struggled against the Mets' pitcher.

Second Inning Woes ​

The second inning was a nightmare for us. The Mets exploded with 6 runs, highlighted by a 3-run homer from DJ Stewart. By the end of the inning, the Mets had a commanding 7-0 lead.

A Glimmer of Hope ​

In the bottom of the 3rd inning, Robbie Grossman brought some energy back into the team with a 2-run homer, making it 7-2. However, that was the only time we managed to score.

Mets Extend Lead ​

The Mets continued to pour it on in the 4th and 5th innings, adding 4 more runs to their tally. Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo hit back-to-back RBI singles, making it 11-2 by the middle of the 5th.

Missed Opportunities ​

We had a few opportunities to close the gap but just couldn't capitalize. In the 6th inning, Davis Wendzel managed to get a double, but we couldn't bring him home.

Tough 8th and 9th Innings ​

The Mets added 3 more runs in the 8th inning, making it a hefty 14-2. Despite a double by Ezequiel Duran in the 9th inning, we couldn't get any more runs on the board.

Final Thoughts ​

It was a tough game, but let's keep our heads up, Rangers fans! We've had some great moments this season, and this is just one game. Let's come back stronger next time!
