Tough Game for the Blue Jays in Toronto 😩

Hey Jays fans, it was a tough one at home today as we fell to the Mets 6-2. The game was tight until the 9th inning, but we just couldn't hold off their big bats.

Pitching Duel Early On 🔥

Both teams struggled to get anything going offensively in the early innings. Our pitchers held strong, and we were able to keep the Mets off the board through eight innings. Kudos to the defense for making some solid plays behind them!

Something Brewing in the 4th 🍁

We got on the scoreboard first in the 4th inning when Vladimir Guerrero Jr. singled and moved to third on a single by Ernie Clement. Will Wagner walked to load the bases, and although Davis Schneider hit into a fielder’s choice, it allowed Guerrero Jr. to score, giving us a 1-0 lead. Unfortunately, we left a few runners stranded and couldn't add more.

Heartbreaker in the 9th inning 💔

Everything unraveled in the 9th. Francisco Lindor hit a solo homer to tie it up, and from there, the Mets just piled on. A critical error allowed another runner to get into scoring position, and we couldn't stop them from there. Before we knew it, we were down 6-1, thanks to a big homer by Francisco Alvarez.

A Glimpse of Hope ✨

In our last at-bat, Addison Barger came in as a pinch hitter and singled to drive in Daulton Varsho, who had walked earlier. That gave us our second run, but it was too little, too late. Ultimately, we couldn't rally enough to overcome the deficit.

Looking Forward 💪

It’s always tough to lose at home, but let’s keep our heads up, Jays fans! We’ve got another game tomorrow, and we'll need to bring that energy to the field. Let's support our team through thick and thin. Go Jays! 💙🧢
